Audit Manager

Job Description:

Position Requirements:
Minimum Years of Experience: 5-9+ at a CPA firm

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

Certification Required: CPA

Knowledge Required:

  • Comprehensive  knowledge and exposure to the common issues facing non-publicly traded companies in manufacturing, distribution and services industry, including but not limited to; mergers and acquisitions, entrepreneurship, funding requirements, growth objectives and exit strategies.
  • Thorough knowledge of public accounting and audit practices, procedures and reporting standards.  Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP, U.S GAAS and IFRS standards.

Skills Required:

  • Technical skills for applicable accounting and reporting standards in attest engagements.
  • Experience in applying professional skepticism skills.
  • Ability to lead a team in developing the audit approach, which includes a thorough understanding of a client’s needs, as well as identifying and assessing risks.
  • Prior experience advising clients on technical accounting as well as general business issues, while maintaining client confidentiality.
  • Ability to multitask and re-prioritize within short notice to deliver under tight deadlines.

  • Strong preparation skills.
  • Working knowledge of day to day compliance for a variety of entities including partnerships, corporations, pass through entities and individual and Subchapter S corporations. Individual experience is a plus.
  • Experience assisting with tax research projects for clients in diverse industries.

Skills Preferred:

  • Knowledge of ProSystems Tax.
